Andrew Marathas, a graduate of Montserrat College of Art's class of 2007, is a Boston-based creative and arts educator living and working throughout areas of Massachusetts and Connecticut. His work is obsessively story-driven and adaptive, often drawing formal inspiration from the many popular video games, movies, comic books, performances, and novels that have helped to pave the roadways of vibrant, winding storytelling in the 21st century. He is also a contributing faculty member within the illustration department at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts and a longtime-participating instructor and visual arts department head at Buck's Rock Performing & Creative Arts Camp in New Milford, Connecticut. In both programs, Andrew helps to direct elective course material intended to enrich prevailing concepts of worldbuilding, storytelling, and skillbuilding that may better allow for the development of young artists.
