Andrew Marathas, an illustration graduate of Montserrat College of Art's class of 2007, is an award-winning, Boston-based creative and arts educator working  throughout New England. His artwork is story-driven, instinctive, and adaptive, often drawing formal inspiration from the many popular video games, movies, comic books, performances, and novels that have helped to pave the roadways of storytelling in the twenty-first century. His work and experience is very much the result of a life settled in the arts and education economies within the northeastern United States.

His work history ranges the spectrum of arts-related employment to encompass many different fields and many different applications of his artistic sensibilities. Particularly in the Boston area, he has worked in a variety of circumstantially freelance, institutional, and studio environments. Presently, He works as a contributing faculty member for a small, four-year North American arts college north of Boston. In the summer months, he works as a participating instructor and studio director for a premiere, two-month arts residency program in Connecticut. More recently, he has worked to facilitate arts programming and exhibitions at a small gallery in southern Massachusetts.
